Punjabi musician and Congress head Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Jawaharke village in Mansa district within Punjab on Sunday. The 28-year-old was a member of the Moose Wala village near Mansa and had released several hit songs over the last few years. But the singer was involved in several controversies during his career.

He began in his profession as a songwriter of the song "License" by Ninja and then started his singing career singing G Wagon.

In December 2021, he was a member of the Congress party months before his 2022 Punjab Assembly polls. He also ran for election from Mansa on the Congress ticket but was defeated by the AAP's Dr. Vijay Singla.

He was well-known for popular Punjabi songs like "Legend," "Devil," 'Just Listen' "Jatt da muqabala," and 'Hathyar' among numerous others. He was well-known for his Gangster rap.
